I'm going to upgrade form my GTX 660. I play at 1080p on a 144hz monitor and I'm one of the people, who loves high frame rates. I Want to keep the GPU for a couple of years.

I don't really need a GPU for upcoming games w/MAX settings or something.
As I've seen in many Benchmarks, the performance of the 6GB version isn't significantly higher in 1080p, I thought, the 3GB version would be better choice.

Cheapest prices of Dual Fan Versions of 1060:
3GB: 200€-210€
6GB: 260€-270€ (~30% higher)

What do you think is the right choice for me?

I do agree with the above though, if you just want the better card, obviously the 6 gig is the way to go. Whether or not the performance boost justifies the price boost is up to you.

Like Herc08, I have a 6 gig 1060, and there was never any question in my mind as to whether I should buy the 3 gig or the 6 gig version. I love the card I have and it rocks anything I've thrown at it in 1080p.
Actually the 6GB is the better choice. But since it has a lower boost clock than the other 10 series, it won't get the best. I dont know what benchmarks you seen, but you can easily get 60+ on ULTRA settings on 1080p in many games. If you get the 3Gb, you will struggle a bit. Not to mention, many games will start to require 4GB of VRAM.

Again, 6GB is better choice. I have one, and haven't looked back since.

Ah, I misread the question. Didn't see that did not need MAX settings. Yep, 3GB should be good. But again, many games are going to start requiring 4GB pretty soon. Just something to think about if you want to future proof yourself.
