Hey all, so im currently think about selling my i7 4470 on ebay in order to upgrade to the i7 4790k. What should i know when selling a CPU? By this I mean should i package it in any special way, and is there any information i should provide about my CPU other than how long ive been using it for? Im sorry if this is a stupid question, i just want to make sure that i am giving my buyer all the correct and proper information. Thank you very much for your help :)

Solution
The CPU packaging doesn't have pins to break so that makes it easier. Just place it in a plastic bag and make sure to have some padding like bubble wrap in the box so it doesn't take any impacts or shift around a ton. If you have the old box it came in that would be ideal(I keep mine for that reason). Can repackage it in the old box then put that in a small shipping box with some bubble wrap.

be sure to take your own pictures of the CPU and a good one of the top so we can read the info stamp Intel puts on them. Much easier to trust sellers, especially ones with a short history, if they provide an abundance of pictures.

Be sure to make it clear you are taking it from a working system. Gives people confidence you aren't selling a dud.
