Hello,

Recently, my usb ports on my front panel of my Nzxt S340 have broken. They were still useable somehow so I continued to use them, which clearly was a dumb idea. About a few days ago I plugged a usb drive into the front panel connector. Windows 10 then went off and told me there was a usb power surge. I decided to reboot, just in case. When I rebooted I checked the bios so makesure everything was working. So far it was, however when I got to my log-in screen on windows, I had noticed my Ethernet wasn't working, neither my back panel usb ports or any of the rear io ports. I decided to reinstall windows with a repair usb stick that I booted from in the bios. I reinstalled windows thinking that something in windows went corrupt in my ssd. I proceeded to reinstall it twice, and it made no difference at all. Now I am wondering what happened. Is my motherboard broken or my ssd? If anyone has any ideas I am desperate to hear them so please share them. I would also like to mention I tried multiple ethernet cables and mice and keyboards.

Thank You,

Nick

Did you try resetting your CMOS? Unplug the PSU, remove the CMOS battery, then press and hold the case power button for a minute or two. Replace the CMOS battery and plug the PSU back in then try rebooting. If the USB and ethernet ports still aren't working, I would contact MSI support for help.
