I have an hp Pavillion 500-056 desktop and I wanted to upgrade since I'm running integrated graphics at the moment. Is there going to be anything I need to do after installing the card and the power supply? Seems some other people have had black screens resulting from bios settings, do I need to change any of those?
Could I upgrade my PC with a 750 ti OC and 500w PSU?

I strongly suggest you install the power supply first. After you do, stress test your system and make sure it functions normally. If it does then you can install the videocard. Make sure you plug the monitor into the new videocard and not to the same connection you were using before, which is the integrated graphics.
