i'm looking at the memory compatibility list and the memory i have right now isnt supported by this particular mobo, but the pc is working none the less. but would there be any issues at all especially while gaming, like micro stutters or fps dips etc? I have G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-1600C10D-16GAO

ok now i have a memory issue with 2400 speed ram. when its on defaults pc loads windows but not when i have xmp enabled. before i was using 1600 ram with xmp on and no problems. but with 2400 xmp on the screen is black for like 20 seconds then pc restarts itself and goes through the same process... so right after it reboots i keep hitting the bios key and it lets me in...

anyone know what the problem is?

my pc works fine at 2200 and i even put the timings for 2400 but its on auto now. but it wont work with 2400 speed auto timings too. is there other tweeking i have to do or is there something wrong with my mobo or ram. btw i have an i5 4690k

in bios it doesnt specifically say ring voltage. i dont know what its called in this particular bios.
