Hiya!

So black friday / cyber monday is coming up soon, and I've been saving up some money so I could get a machine together. This will be my first build ever; I don't plan on overclocking and I will be using this mostly for work / gaming.

I pulled together a list of parts after doing some thorough research, and I just want some more feedback before I pull the trigger on it.

I don't know much about computer parts, so sorry if some of my questions come off stupid I really don't intend to come off so.

Anyways, would this build work well? Am I going overkill with the motherboard? (I heard something about mini mobos being more expensive but i can't find another with WiFi) Is my power supply enough? And I'll appreciate really any feedback from this ^_^

Thanks in advance!

ALSO: Since I'm picking the 1060 over an rx 480, could anyone recommend me a gaming monitor? preferably not over $200

Get rid of the CPU cooler, the stock one will suffice if you are not overclocking.
Also the case already comes with fans, so unless you feel the need for the ones you selected, no point in buying them.
Also you got an ITX sized Mobo with an ATX case. You can get an ATX mobo and a wifi card for it. (they cost like $12-20). An ITX mobo would be a weird size for such a large case.

A bit over budget but it is very powerful.

With i5-6500 and GTX1070 combo this will easily handle any game at 60fps even at ultra settings.

Including monitor it is only @50 over budget.

Add second 8GB RAM stick down the lane.

You won't be needing CPU cooler for non K CPU as Intel provide a decent one with the CPU in the box.

Wifi capabilities can easily be added to any motherboard by means of external USB or internal PCIe x1 card.

If MX300 is more expensive than M7V then the M7V is the better buy.

H170 board for more HSIO lanes to supply the M2+USB+SATA ports. And that ASROCK H170 boards unofficially support higher speed memory that would account for higher performance on selected titles.

And do not overspend on graphic card. This gen is the first foray into 14/16 nm node, you are guaranteed to see performance increase when optimization for the node arrive with Volta/Vega + HBM 2.0 on the hardware front and DX12/Vulkan on the software front, and then throw in Mixed Reality into the ring and you can see that thing can snowball quickly in the coming years that would devalue your GPU investment fast in this budget range.

Investment in aftermarket CPU cooler / case fans should be left for higher end OC-ing/SLI-ing build or if to replace the included fans for quieter operation only.
