When I plug my HDMI into my graphics card alone the screen doesnt turn on. However when I connect my monitor to my motherboard using VGA it turns on.
If I connect VGA and HDMI to my monitor it acts like there is two monitors and when I open programs it seems like they show up on the taskbar but I cant access them.

Graphics card is NVIDIA 1060 It has HDMI and DVI ports no VGA
Monitor only has VGA and HDMI no DVI

Splendid
You will have to go into your bios settings and select pci-e as your primary gpu. Make sure once its done that only the hdmi is plugged in. Hopefully it will show a display on your monitor from your card once you have changed the setting in the bios.

Whenever I change the graphics settings to either pcie and then save changes, it tells me that im saving the change but when I enter the bios again its back to cpu graphics. Even when just HDMI from card into monitor it shows no signal.
