Where are all the GTX 1070s at 379.00?

Its been a very long time since the 1070 came out. Everyone was excited at the price.
Here is one of them from back in June 2016. When they came out price was much higher 80 to 100 more.

Where are they?

If they are going to lie why not lie bigger? Announce it for $2.00 then when its 450.00 just blame supply and demand.

Not sure if you're seriously wondering, or just ranting, but it's a marketing scheme. More people look at their cards if they put them at a more affordable price. It looks like you've been paying attention to prices, so for Nvidia, that's one more person that's looking into their graphics cards.

And more importantly, people are still buying them. They won't go down to MSRP until people decide they aren't worth it at their current price, and sales start declining or stagnating.

You also have to realize the method of supply and demand. The more demand, the more it will cost. NVIDIA is not selling these, 3rd parties are. So MSI, EVGA, and ASUS can jack up the prices. Even then, the STORES (Newegg, SuperBiz, etc) can also jack up the prices as well. It was the same thing with the 1060, who would pay $330 for that?
