hello,im thinking of buying MSI H110M VD motherboard for the i3 6100 since im on budget.

What i wonder is i currently use 970a ud3p mobo with amd system.
would i see a notable difference on audio quality when i switch to intel system with this msi h110m pro from 970a ud3p since it s on lower end? I mostly use speakers rather than headphones.

thanks!

I do not know how you define quality.
One thing you can do is to look at the chipsets used for sound.
Most entry level M110 motherboards use the same ALC887.
Even the Z170 motherboard referenced above uses ALC887.
Some may use ALC892.
The difference seems minor to me from a technical point of view.
Here is a comparison table:

They talk about resolution and sampling rate.

I think all will sound about the same, and I would try integrated first.
If you really have great speakers and want more, look into a discrete sound card.

i guess my question was a bit unclear,so i switched the title and post a bit.

Honestly, I would recommend the Gigabyte H110 if you want great audio. I use a Giggabye Z170N, and it is amazing.

But if you want a surround sound, a sound card via PCI is your best bet.

Would you consider getting a separate soundcard when you have really good heaphones? Like Studio reference headset quality headphones?

i have integrated sound on my mobo (x99 msi gaming pro carbon) sounds good enough.. but somehow wonder if it could be better.
