Hey guys
I have just recieved a new i7 6700k and a z170 pro gaming motherboard. I plugged it into my PSU, HDD (with Windows installed). I can boot into Windows, but it does not pick up any USB devices I plug into it. I thought it was the drivers, so I got a copy of Ubunutu, installed it onto a USB pen drive and copied the drivers from Ubuntu to the HDD, and then booted onto the HDD and installed them. The problem is still there after a reboot. I have also updated my BIOS in case there was any problems. I also thought it was a problem with the RAM because the computer did not turn on when I used two sticks of RAM (in the right slots, I checked) but I changed out the RAM with stick I use in my old computer and it still doesn't work. Also, the keyboard and mouse I am using are connected by USB, and they work fine, it just does not read USB mass storage devices. I have opened device manager, and there are still a lot of yellow exclamation marks, telling me driver problems, but I have already installed the latest ones.
Also, another strange thing, sometimes my second monitor works and other times it doesent. My main monitor that is connected through DVI works every time, but my VGA monitor sometimes doesent work on boot.
I can't think of any other way to fix this problem, apart from returning the two parts and asking for new ones, but I have already done this because it was coming up with the same problem.
Can you guys think of any way to fix this?
Thanks
