Whenever I look for reviews for any wifi adapter, they're always sketchy. I trust you guys, so what USB wifi adapters are good for gaming? I want about 250mbps or more, 5ghz (or 2 if its enough), and have good connection. I live in a normal sized house with the router in the living room, which is behind the wall where my PC is. The wifi is high speed, and bandwidth is good. PCI 2.0 x16 wifi cards will be good too.

With one floor in between do i get ~390mbps on this one,

depends on placement too,but it comes with a small extension cable so you can test in different spots. The led light is abit bright so put it somewhere out of sight if getting it.It gives my full 150mbps down and 15mbps up form the isp i have,a little above even.
I also have this one,
http://pcpartpicker.com/product/8VMFf7/asus-wireless-network-card-pceac68
this gives 1.3gbps with a not too thick wall and thin door in between, but it gives me issues which i still need to solve. It doesn't connect well when the pc start and i have to restart (disable/enable) the device when the pc is booted fully, after this...

  • ■ You should stick to 5GHz as 2.4GHz may already crowded by wireless mouse/keyboard/cell phone.
    ■ How many nodes are you plan to set? distance in between? is WiFi router what you have in mind?
    ■ Is it PC or laptop/barbone/mini HTPX?

There's a usb version as well,

don't know how this performs.
