So I built a pc, am avoiding a internal vibrating DVD reader/writer, and have no internet nor USB detection for drives such as sticks and discs, only mouse etc. My external USB DVD isn't detected.

How can I get internet from my Mobo's LAN or instal the LAN/USB drivers without using a Sata-Cabled DVD reader/writer?

A external HDMI DVD reader/writer LOLzzz?

If the motherboard has a mix of USB2 and USB3 ports, you should be able to use the USB2-only ones (maybe the ones used for the mouse and keyboard?) to attach an external DVD drive or stick without any extra drivers. Or, if you're using a USB3 DVD or stick, try a USB2 one if you have one around somewhere. USB3 stuff usually needs extra chipset drivers (at least in Win7 - I'm not sure about later versions) whereas USB2 is supported "out of the box".

Failing all else, if you've got another PC available, you might just have to attach the hard drive from the new PC to it as a secondary drive (either by SATA or with a USB-SATA adaptor) and copy the drivers you need into a folder on it so you can install them after putting the drive back into...
