Hi, all
NEWBE question
Will they work together out of the box? pcpartspicker says – (Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs)
Looking at a new build.
Thank you, Jim

Hello Jim, a followup question(s):
As I saw your msg here, and the answer to it, as well as similar questions on the baords here, with mixed answers/opinions regarding the Broadwell Es need for bios update, AND as I'm planning on building a video editing build myself, which will accommodate both of those components (6850K + Asus X99-A ii) - I was wondering - was it all good? did you need/not need to update a bios version of the MOBO?

Also if we're already at it - what did you get as a CPU cooler for your 6850K? Looking for ideas + reasons, do/don'ts.

Thanks! Ori.

Hello
I have delayed the new build for now. I do not know the answer to your questions. Jim
