Hi all,

Im buying a 15.6 laptop w/ a gtx 1070 but can't decide whether to go for 1080p g sync or 4k g sync option. Wondering if scaling is going to be an issue if I decide to play some games at 1080p on 4k screen. thanks.

A 1070 probably won't run many games at 4k. If you're mostly gaming you might as well save the money and get the 1080p then maybe get an external 1440p ultrawide if you want to plug it in while you're at home.

Well, I like the 2160*1440 screen on my 12" Surface Pro 3, it's very crisp and detailed, and if you are not running any ancient applications, then the scaling shouldn't be a problem. So I'd go for the 4K option. And you can play in 1080p on a 4k display without any problems too.
