Will this work for the i7 6700k??

Solution
Look for reviews on a PSU, the list at plugloadsolutions is simply a lit of by manufacturer and rating as to how well the PSU converts input power to output (which is what the 80Plus ratings are and generic by Manufacturer, i.e. the CX series from Corsair is 80+ Bronze but made with weak caps and few knowledgable builds will recommend if for a high performance rig

If this works what would be the cheapest 16gb RAM I could buy?

And would I need a cooler?? Cheapest? And cheapest PSU

And would this case be ok?

And, get a good quality power supply. A poor PSU can and will cause all kinds of problems - and may lead you to blame a different piece of hardware, such as your CPU, motherboard, RAM - because you will have no clue what the real problem is.

Whatever power supply you think about purchasing, go to https://plugloadsolutions.com/80PlusPowerSupplies.aspx and see if it is on the list. Of more importance go to www.jonnyguru.com and look for a review of the power supply.

The CX series is for factory OEM computers. I do not understand why they are sold to consumers, except to make profit on uneducated buyers. If you are going to build a low demanding computer, for surfing the internet or listen to recorded music, for example, the CX will work - as long as low power, low demanding hardware is in the computer.

Most OEMs, if you want to upgrade your CPU and video card you need to get a better power supply, I have been down that road with people too often.

For most people visiting this forum stay away from the CX, and lower quality PSUs, and there are some.
