I wont be overclocking it. It may happen in the future. Probs just the CPU, and mostly gaming

Hmm not sure why you're getting an expensive and loud (and IMO overpriced) watercooler then alon...

Wait is that a GTX 970? Don't get that, get a GTX 1060. It's cheaper and as powerful as a GTX 980.

Unless this is an older system, makes sense. if you're buying this stuff new then revise it. otherwise, all you need is a good 450W PSU. What is your budget? Very often I end up recommending a 550W PSU because of the poor amount of 450W PSUs on the market. A 450W PSU would put your system at probably 70% load when gaming, probably less.

I already have this system. Its about a year and half old. I do have a CS750M cosair PSU, but that started making a funny smell. So i opened it up and found out the white sheet of plastic had scorch marks on it. Not sure if its usable or what. Im just looking for a new PSU if i need one. Which i prefer not to put more money into it if i dont have to.

Probably $100 CDN. Would love to stay under that. The smell was coming from the burning plastic sheet they have in there for some odd reason. The PSU still runs perfectly fine. Havent really tried it after that. But i know it works. xD

That's actually an insulation sheet that is there to prevent sensitive components from doing something bad like coming in contact with the metal casing of the power supply, which would be bad, I imagine you could get shocked if that happened and you were touching your PC. In part this is why we have grounded outlets. But the insulation sheet is supposed to add a protection later so metal doesn't touch other metal it's not supposed to touch.

But apparently whatever metal is touching it is hot enough to be burning through it. But breathing in that stuff is not good, and I imagine if it wasn't there it'd only be a matter of time before that metal that's not supposed to touch that other metal does.

I was going to put thermal paste where the scorch marks were. xD THAT was just an idea. I may just sell it or trade it to someone and make it there problem. >:D

That's unethical (unless you tell them of the problem when you sell it to them).
