Hi all,

I recently upgraded my RAM to 2400Mhz, and as stated above I cannot get it to clock past 1600Mhz. I've set the X.M.P profile in my bios and all that does is make the RAM go from the stock 1333 to 1600. If the case is that my motherboard doesn't support a higher frequency than 1600Mhz, why is it that it even supports X.M.P in the first place? I have tried to manually set the DRAM voltage to 1.66v but it doesn't change anything. Help would be much appreciated (very new to overclocking RAM)

Specs are as follows:

i5-4590
16 GB 2400Mhz corsair vengeance pro
Gigabyte HD3-H97 motherboard

Thanks!
