So as title says I want to buy new gpu for my old pc and I found pretty good one for cheap money which has 2x6pin connectors and my 550w psu has only 1 connector and before I buy new psu I just want to put molex for like 10-20 days but I am not familiar with that store close to me has this one http://genelec.ba/content/images/thumbs/0059101_kabl-napojni-interni-y-cc-psu-6.jpeg but as I can see there are in each 3 "spikes" while my psu has 2 same but they have 5 holes does that mean I can put this in that?Thank you

Your psu molex will have 4 holes not 5.

That adapter is missing the 5v pins which are not needed for a GPU PCI express connection.
So that's fairly normal.

I would be wary of running an adapter without knowing exactly what GPU you're buying ??
& the exact model of your psu ??

Some psu's with a 550w label are not even close to a real 550w PSU .
Let us know those that info before you actually consider doing this !

Hi

assuming you have a reasonable quality PSU
and you use the molex (auxillary) connector on two different cables you will probably be OK

But if PSU only has one PCI-e 6 pin plug & cable and no PCI-e 8 pin plug (or 6+2=8 ) then it does not look like a good quality 550 watt PSU

DC OUTPUT +12v +5v +3.3v -12v +5Vsb
25A 30A 28A 0.8A 2A
PSU is SP-ATX-550W-PFC42-N4
I want to buy GTX 660Ti jetstream or some GTX 570 which requires 2x6pin connectors.I know that molex aren't recommended but that's not like my pc will die and my plan is jut to use it 10 max 20 days before buying new psu on that pc.
