I was wondering if my old AMD A4-5300 CPU would support a graphics card, because I was planning to put a very cheap one in my rig. I already checked my motherboard and it has a PCIe x16 slot so that should be fine.
What if I disable the internal GPU and then pair it with a GPU? Because I saw a YouTube video of a guy who was using the AMD A4-5300 and a sapphire r9 270. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amvrAEuox3A
Thanks for your answer!
yes it can be used as a cpu only with a dedicated gpu IF your power supply is good enough to power whatever card you get
however it is a terribly slow dual core so anything decent will be bottlenecked
