Computer crashes when playing high system requirement games

I recently had my computer shipped to me and had to get a new graphics card because my old one was bent from transportation. It's a radeon rx 460.

When I play a low graphic game like swtor (star wars the old republic, mmorpg) my system runs fine. However the issue first cropped up a week or so ago when I started playing "Styx: Master of Shadows". At a critical point where there was a lot of button pressing the screen turned yellow and the sound made this repeating static sound (kind of like the sound the static on an old tv except bassier). And then I have to turn off the computer using the power button and restart.

It's been doing this consistently after about 20 minutes of play time with other games like World of Warcraft, Total War: Warhammer. The only game it doesn't do it with is swtor.

I'm torn between thinking it's a graphic card issue, because my old radeon 7950 could play WoW without ever crashing, but what gives me pause is the fact that the sound goes out as well.
If it's just a card issue...why would that sound be there and why would I have to forcibly shut off the computer...that implies that it's a deeper problem with the system itself. So I added an internal ssd drive and put total war warhammer on it today....same issue came up again. Now I'm starting to think it's a memory issue. My processor is an i5 4670k. I only have 8 gigs of ddr3 ram running at 1600mhz.

Any of your thoughts would be great, thank you.

Okay I upgraded my psu to a Smart 750 watt. Ran fine the first day, today I was playing World of Warcraft and the same issue came up....although this time the screen just turned plain white. Starting to think it's a gpu or memory issue.

You said it's about the build quality and voltage stability, how could you glean this information?
