I agree with that last post and it does depend on what you currently have. For example I have a 4670k @ 4.5 ghz, which is the perfect "wait and see" solution. Meaning, I won't be upgrading until I see a bigger difference than what is currently out there because at this clock speed my overall gaming experience is about what a 6600k is @ 4.0 GHZ, or the 6700k @ 4.0 ghz as well. If you are currently using something like an older AMD X4 965 (or similar) a 6600k would be a very nice upgrade and not as expensive as an i7, and will give you all the frames/performance you want.
