Need help reviewing my build! And more specifically the Gigabyte HD3P

I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on buying the parts for this build, but i have some concerns if it's good or not.
Parts:
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650W G2
CPU: Intel i7-6700K
Thermal Paste: Arctic MX-4
Case: Fractal Design R5 with Window
Cooler: Hyper 212X Evo
Motherboard: Gigabyte z170-HD3P
RAM: Kingstone hyperX Fury DDR4 2133Mhz (2x4GB)
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB
Hard Drive: Western Digital Black 1TB
GPU: MSI Computer GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G OCV1 NVIDIA

I'll be using my PC to mostly game, and do some game programming/3D rendering (possibly), but my main concern is that although I've heard good reviews about the Gigabyte HD3P, i've also seen some bad reviews, so it feels like it'll be a hit or miss. Should I keep the motherboard, or spend a little more to upgrade to the ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4? I do quite like the 3.1 Usb port on the HD3P... Any advice?

i dont have a good personal experience with using Asrock motherboards :/ my current MSI B150M doesnt give me as much issues as my previous Asrock B75 pro3 m

Looks like you've picked some good parts. I've used a few ASROCK boards and I really like them. I personally would go with ASROCK over Gigabyte, but I've had issues with Gigabyte in the past. Overall I think what you have picked should serve you fairly well, pull that trigger then enjoy.

Well, another thing is that the gigabyte board has 6 phases while the asrock board has 10. I heard that the more phases a board has, the more stable it is during overclocking, but i only see myself doing mild overclocking not extreme. Is 6 phases good enough?

I'm guessing that 6 phases should be good for light overclocking, but after reading the reviews on the Gigabyte board on Newegg, I wouldn't buy that damn thing for anything. It's your decision, but I would not go for the Gigabyte. I actually wouldn't go with that particular ASROCK board either after reading the reviews. I would probably go with the Extreme3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157672

What are your thoughts on the GIGABYTE GA-Z170XP-SLI then? Where i live the price difference isn't that much, is it any good?

Well looking on Newegg, the reviews on that board aren't real good either. I've seen many Gigabyte board that don't have good reviews, it seems like the quality checks are bad, so personally I wouldn't buy one.
