Samsung 850 Pro, Achi and RAID confusion

I am doing a fresh reinstall of Windows 10 with a new Samsung 850 Pro and an existing 2 TB Raid set up. I use the RAID as data storage and planned to put the OS on the SSD. I have an older Asus 8P67 Deluxe with an Intel Raid on board the MB.

With the Bios set to RAID, the Computer does not see the Samsung drive and it is not available as a boot option in the Bios. But when I put the MB in ACHI, the MB sees Samsung and the two raid drives, but thinks that the two raid drives are separate 2 TB drives. I am sure I am missing something easy, but I cannot find any help in the manuals. Any thoughts about what I may be doing wrong?

Yea this is the problem with using onboard RAID. You can't have both. Just leave it in RAID. I should still see the drive but some features you can't enable.

To get around this you would need to buy a Add-in RAID card. Just IF you do go that route BACKUP YOUR DATA FIRST! You WILL have to wipe the drives to make the new RAID. Also just tossing this out there RAID is NOT a backup! Make sure you have a backup besides your RAID!
