Have EVGA cards been fixed?

I am looking into getting a EVGA 1070 but i am not sure if the mess of issues EVGA cards were experiencing are still present. Does anybody know if they have been completely fixed by now?

I believe they have been fixed.

I think they now pre-install thermal pads onto the GPU so it can dissipate heat correctly, and they are now shipping thermal pads for free to those affected.

I believe if you purchase one now, it will come with thermal pads installed so it can cool correctly and not cause fires.
