I looked for other topics, but either my search skills are not to par or I really can't find recent similar question.

So here it is, looking for specific model recommendations in 2016.

Use case: scan and print those nasty bureaucracy forms.

1. What is your printer budget? What is your country of origin?
I don't have a set budget, but would like to get away with something on the lower side of average. Printer will be bought in Germany.

2. Preferred Brand(s)
None.

3. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why)
I simply don't know about printer brands. So I can't say that I would prefer one over the other.

4. How many pages do you print per day?
So far it has been 5-10 pages per month, if I had it at home, it would probably be a bit more, but not to much more.

5. Do you want your printer to perform other functions (scanning / copying / fax)?
Scanning would be needed. Not sure what is difference between scanning and copying, what I need is to be able to put document (ID card or other paper) and then in some reasonable time (up to 30 minutes) to get some output from the printer with the copy of that document.

6. Preferred website for printer (eg Newegg / Tiger Direct, etc)?
I would most likely go and buy it in Saturn (saturn.de), but would consider ordering online from Amazon (even though delivery with DHL is terrible).

7. Do you want your printer to have WiFi capability?
Yes and no. If the price diff is really small, would like to have it, but otherwise for the volume I need printing, I could prolly hold it in my lap while connected with USB to my computer.

8. Do you want your printer to have full color or black and white?
Again price diff. Color is better, but not necessary if it doubles the price.

9. How much do you currently spend on ink/toner?
0 euros - I don't own a printer for last 5 years.

10. Do you print high quality or high resolution documents or photographs?
Nope

Additional:
I really need it for some occasional document printing. Was considering laser one because last ink jet I had few years ago got it's nozzles jammed with color due to not being used. If I had a printer I would most likely print stuff more often, but that would probably end up being less then 10-20 pages per week.

What I am looking for is relativly cheap, reliable, doesn't break when not being in use. Printing speed is of no value here. Connectivity needs to have USB so I can connect it to my windows machine (was going to say apple as well, but they might remove all the ports on next gen). Wifi if cheap, sure, otherwise meh. Price of catridge also not a big deal unless it goes bad from not using (assuming I usually pay about 10-15 cents per paper in local copy shop, as long as it is less then that I am happy).

Important thing though is size. Smaller is better.

Would be extra thankfull if you include mono laser and color laser model for price comparison. Thank you all for reading and your time

I had many of your choices, and I settled for a samsung laser/scanner/wifi desktop model and it was only 79.$ USD, I get 5000 copies from toner and it cost 69.$usd the model I use and I have been very happy with it, is SCX-3400 Series. easy to configure and runs nicely, it is a year or so old mind you but I am sure the same product line exists perhaps

personal opinion stay away from canon and brother home printer/scanners, they are "fickle"
