What is the better processor?

Hello everyone,
My rig is currently outdated, and I was offered another computer, and not sure if it's a better system. Here's what I'm currently running:
AMD Phenom II x6 1045t processor
Gefore GTX 650 2gb
8 gigs of ram
1TB hard drive, 120gb ssd
Windows 10
The system I was offered:
HP Pavilion p6370t

Intel Core-i5-650
8 gigs ram
Radeon R7 250x video card. The rest I'm unsure of.

I mainly play games like The Sims 3/4, Diablo 3, Fallout 4, GTA 5, Mass Effect Series, Dragon Age Inquisitions and Far Cry Primal.

Yay or nay?

The i5 650 is a bit better in games but worse in most all other programs. I suggest sticking with what you have and pick up an Nvidia 750.

Solution
That's a tough question. The R7 250x probably outperforms the GTX 650 in most cases but not by a huge margin.

The i5 650 is a dual core CPU. It will beat the Phenom x6 in tasks that use only one or two cores, but not by a lot. They will have similar performance for any of your older games. For newer games, the Phenom may win, but you will be limited by its fairly low clock rate. Most new games will be more limited by your GPU than by your CPU, however.

Definetely not worth paying for that. I mean, it's a bit better, but it doesn't mean you should spend money for such a minimal difference. Keep your PC and save for a better offer this Friday.

Fallout 4 requires a 2gb card to run, the one you listed is a 1gb, are you sure it will be sufficient enough?

Yes but your HP only has a 300w PSU so i'm a bit worried about suggesting the 750ti. If you want to give it a shot tho here is the one. It takes about 10 more watts to push the 750ti. I cant find a 750 2GB makes the 750ti is the only choice.

Cost is definitely a key issue.
I assumed from your post that the computer you were offered would cost nothing. If it's free, it may be worth it.
Personally, I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of setting up a new machine for the limited improvements. I might try swapping GPUs if the cost was little or nothing.

The computer is being offered to me for 150 dollars, which seems like a good deal, I could always use it as a backup rig if all else fails, right?

Is the 750ti an upgrade from the 550ti? How much of a performance boost will I gain?

Great advice, thanks! Should I consider the GTX 750 over an R7 360? Their both around the same price, but not sure performance wise which is better.
