The i5-4690k is capable of fully supporting the GTX 1070 at 1080p.

Edit: If you're interested in looking at a rough guide to CPU/ GPU bottlenecks I recommend looking at the Tom's thread "Ultimate Bottlenecking Guide". As you can see, there is only a minimal chance of bottleneck with the 1070 + 4690k on the most demanding games, and that will be at resolutions higher than 1080p.

In summary: That is still a very good pairing of CPU + GPU
