Hi guys!

So I built my PC and the problem is that my benQ 144hz with DVI cable wont get signal, WHILE old samsung monitor vga does. Nothing wrong with benq i guess because just unplugged from old build and plugged straight to the new one. Another small problem - I got 99C cpu temperature in BIOS, guess new thermal would help but please any tips, thank you.(not a native english speaker ;D)
New build includes:
i7 4790k ; gtx 970 twin frozr ; Corsair hydro h110i; MSI H97 gaming 3, 750w from old build and 2x4GB DDR3 from old build

Solution

Yea that is weird, maybe try using a different display port, instead of DVI.

Monitor Problem: If your monitor does not get any signal, it is likely to be the cause of your Graphics Card. Make sure all of your power cables are properly attached, and make sure that the GPU is properly placed in it's correct slot. If it does not have power, it won't run, and if it's improperly placed, then the motherboard will not recognize it.

CPU Problem: When you are changing or removing parts such as the cpu, motherboard, or cpu cooler, the thermal paste gets exposed. When this happens, the airtight seal between the CPU and heatsink is exposed to air, which can cause it not to work properly anymore because of air bubbles and such. All of this will cause an increase in CPU temperature. The solution to this, is completely cleaning the old thermal paste off of the CPU and the cooler, and then properly reapplying new thermal paste. You can look up videos on youtube on how to do this. It is not hard, but it can be long and tedious.

I hope that this helps :)
