Front panel no sound windows 10 realtek msi

Hi, I have a problem with my front panel on my PC. I built it myself and when I put in my Samsung earbuds in it, I don't hear anything. I have tried the method of disable front panel detection and that didn't help. Can someone pls help me. The earbuds do work on my phone but for some reason I cant hear any sound from them when they are plugged in the front panel. I have windows 10 and a msi motherboard.

Just make sure that the front panel audio cable is properly connected to the motherboard. Also make sure that you use the HD audio connector and not the AC 97 if your case gives you both options.

The manual that came with your motherboard will tell you how and where to plug in your front speakers and USB. your case should have had wires with connectors coming from the front.

I dont have an option for changing it to AC 97 and I dont need to because it is already on hd audio which I am running. I think maybe in a day or two I will open it up and check. A couple days ago there was sound in my earbuds but it would randomly stop working. So, I am pretty sure the wires are right. I will check to make sure though.
