[Help] Unsure how to install SATA cables!

Solution
Try replugging every cable. If that doesn't fix it then it`s either a short, a dead PSU, bent pins or a bad mobo(very rare). Take the CPU fan off and then the CPU. Are any of the pins bent? If none of the pins are bent then to eliminate the possibility of something shorting and shutting down the PSU, you will need to pull the motherboard out of the case and reassemble the components on an insulated surface. When you have done that, turn on the mobo by shorting the power button pins with a screwdriver.

Please post a picture showing the rest of the components, I cannot see if you plugged in all the cables correctly if I can only see a small section. You are going to need to buy another sata cable. Plug the SSD and HDD in for now.

What your holding in the first picture, is the cases fan controller. If the mobo does not have enough slots for the case fans, then plug a power connector into that and connect all the case fans to that. All the cables seem to be plugged in correctly, when you powered it on did the fans spin?
