FX6300 first time OC.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new with overclocking so I thought I ask you guys about it to make sure I don't mess anything LUL. So, I OC'd my FX6300 up to 4,3 Ghz, with 1,32V, everything seems fine. Power Saving options are disabled in BIOS with HPC as well. My RAM are on stock Extreme Profile with 1866 Mhz (Channel interleaving enabled with Auto Ranking Settings, stock timing). Can I stick with that with this setup?

FX6300 on 4.3 Ghz with Cooler Master HyperEvo 212
Gigabyte GA 970a-UD3P mobo
Corsair V. Red Pro 1866 Mhz RAM 2x8
MSI R9 380 4G Running on +1,7% Clock Speed with 0%+ power limit
Kingston HyperX Savage 480GB SSD (500/550) + 1TB Toshiba HDD (nothing special about it)
Chieftec Force Series CPS 650W 85+ PSU (not the GPS shitty series - I know this is not the best as well but I could only get that now).

I got also a bunch of USB stuff (Like a Zowie mouse, Razer Deathstalker Chroma, HyperX CloudII headset etc.) in the PC and a USB Stick Wi-fi adapter. Prime95 is running while I'm writing this (started 2 hours ago) and everything seems fine so far (I gonna take a screenshot in comments). Should I try upper it if its gonna be stable or just use this configuration? What do you think? My other Q is that what could be the signs in the future for problems with it later if I play games or using the PC beyond the freezing and shutting down? (I just ask this to know if I would have something like that in the future I should know that's because of the OC maybe). Thank for your help and sorry for grammar, I'm not native english!

We need to know what temps you are seeing. We also need to know what your stress testing methodology is.

This is what I do:

Start my overclock by setting the clock speed 200-400mhz above stock. Run x264 stress test for 30min. If stable I move on. If not, I add voltage until it is stable.

I do this over and over until the chip cannot be pushed further, my temps are too high, or I am simply happy with where I am at. I then run x264 for 5-8 hours depending on how extreme the overclock is. I then run 10-100 passes of intel burn test (works fine on AMD chips too) to test the temps (they get HOT).

If all that passes, I run a bootable memtest usb to check my ram. 1 to 2 passes is fine, or just let it run overnight.


I use x264 stress test because it works well but prime 95 is fine too for AMD chips. Intel chips run too hot on prime due to special instruction sets that Intel has.

I also checked it at my Mobo (BIOS) and that VIN1 voltage is 1,500 at system default Auto. Is that normal? Look after a Thread where a guy also had that 1.5V on the same mobo as mine. How about that?

I don't know then can I set that manually (or should I) in BIOS? I also read a thread here where the guy had stable 4,4 Ghz with 1,32 CPU Vcore (like me) and his default VID voltage is also 1,5 with VID1 count like mine picture, but I have better temps with like 2-3 Celsius.
