Hi guys,
I have recently bought a new gaming desktop. The desktop does not come with a wifi card so I bought a TP-Link Archer T1U adapter to connect my modem through wifi. I downloaded the latest Windows 10 driver and installed it via USB (no disc drive on my new desktop). The computer recognises the drivers and states they are the newest ones available.

However, I am unable to connect to the internet. The start bar shows the wifi symbol with a red X over it, and states "no wifi networks available." In Device Manager there are no exclamation marks to indicate the drivers are not working correctly (everything states it is working fine) but I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling a couple of times.

I am currently unable to use Ethernet to test whether it works through that or not.

Help?

Edit: quick update - I have brought my computer downstairs and I am able to connect to the internet through the ethernet cable, however *now* my wifi adapter is showing some networks - but my network is not showing. It shows two networks, and my laptop (currently right beside my desktop) shows 10 different networks including my own.

Thanks for the reply. The drivers were downloaded from the official website and were then loaded by USB.

I have now been able to connect to internet via ethernet cable, but still no wifi networks available via the adapter. My phone and laptop are currently connected to the wifi
