will 2400mhz ram work with 2133mhz ram?

i have a motherboard supports 2133mhz ddr4

i bought my pc with 1 stick of 16gb ram 2133mhz, i wanna buy another stick but i cant find 2133mhz (hyper fure x) only in stacks of 2 (2x16)

or if i do find 1 card then its 2400mhz... can i connect it to the motherboard and lower the mhz?or its just wont work cuz not the same card as my 2133mhz one..?

i heard single link is slower then dual is it even worth buying another one for 100$+?

The higher clocked RAM will be downclocked to match the 2133MHz stick, so there is no advantage in doing it, other than increasing the risk of compatibility problems which are already annoyingly high with separately bought sticks.

will buying another 16g ram card will actually run bf1 better? using i7 6700/gtx 1060 getting 80fps with drops to 60~70 at fog/rain/lots of explosions on the server..or load maps faster?
