How do I test my power supply without any other components?

Hi,
I'm choosing the best deals for the parts for my PC, and I am not buying all them at the same time. How would I test my power supply I bought recently, without ANY other components? I've heard about the paper clip test, but how do I do it?

I have a Rosewill Glacier 600M Semi-Modular Power supply

You would have to have a volt meter and that doesn't really tell you anything because there is no load on the power supply. They make power supply testers, which have voltage indicators built in (but that is "another component") ...
