Hi all. Looking for a bit of advice after searching unsuccessfully for a few hours. Also, please lmk if I should post elsewhere. I just completed a build upgrad (MSI 170a sli plus, intel 6600k, 16 gb rams, antec 300 case, ax750 psu, gtx 970, 3hdd, 1 blu-ray player).

The only components I upgraded were mobo, cpu, ram and added a cm evo 212 fan.

Everything was working before the upgrade.

Everything is working properly after the upgrade with the exception of all 3 case fans (2 came with the case, 1 I bought separately, all 3 are from previous build and worked properly).

What I've tried:

a) All 3 fans daisy chained into sysfan1
b) All 3 fans daIsy chained into sysfan2
c) All 3 fans daisy chained into sysfan3
d) fans 1 and 2 (came with case) into sysfan1 and sysfan3 respectively
e) fan 3 into sysfan3 directly

A thru E all made use of a molex to 4 pin adapter to connect to mobo.

I also did one test with fan 1 directly into sysfan3 (so no molex adapter, i put the 3pin into the 4 pin).

In all tests, none of these 3 case fans have ever moved. Any advice would be much appreciated. The only idea I have is to buy a new molex to 4 pin adapter and try that.

Thanks.

Solved this myself and wanted to share in case anyone else had a similar problem. Plugging the fans directly into the PSU instead of the mobo worked.
