Hey guys! I was hoping you could help me out.

I wanted to buy an samsung evo 850 SSD driver, so i did a little research. I discovered that, while my motherboard is compatible with the data cable necessary to run it, my power supply however doesn't seem to have the right, uh, sockets?

Now i'm uncertain how to proceed, since most power cables i've found certainly wouldn't fit in the 6pin socket of my PSU. I'd ordered my desktop with a 120gb SSD, so i checked how they were connected, but it didnt help me, since they were installed with the modular cable that came with my PSU. I still have some extras, but not clue how they work/fit. I'd rather not risk dismounting it to better see it.

Here's my Power Suply: Corsair CX750M. you can also see the modular cable there

And an image with the "sockets"

I've also come across a Sata power cable like this (swiss website, sorry):

And i think this would have worked, but no way the 20cm lenght would've been enough.

So... What do you guys suggest? Am i missing something?

Sorry for being a noob and thank your for time!

You're right! After closer inspection, I've found them. But, to my disappointment, not in a way i can use them.

I would have to dismount the cable in order to use the lower ones (please let there be enough length for this), so i can use the first connector for my new one. Now... Is there any danger in changing the connectors? (apart from ESD).
