What do I need to upgrade to get an extra 8 pin PCI-E power connector?

I have my list for my computer, and I was curious to see what upgrades I need if I changed from a GTX 1050 Ti to a GTX 1060. The only problem I came across was it says I need an extra 8 pin PCI-Express power connector, but I don't know what part this is connected to. What part do I need to upgrade to get an extra connector? I think it's the motherboard, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Can anyone help me?

That's because your power supply is, in the nicest way possible, a heap of shit. Upgrade it immediately to a 550W 80+ Bronze from a reputable seller such as Corsair, EVGA or XFX

If you're upgrading to a 1060, you want more headroom than 300W. TFX is generally not the best of form factors, used for low wattage prebuilt desktops mostly. At higher wattages they are known to be a bit of a fire hazard. Check and see if there are any well reviewed TFX power supplies at 400W or 500W

You need to stick to a lower end GPU , that case holds a TFX style power supply , and you won't find a decent or enough power to run a 1060.

You need a new ATX case and a new decent 450w PSU.

Thanks for your answer. I wasn't planning to purchase the 1060, I think I'm going to hold off for a few years. I will keep this info in mind if I ever do decide to upgrade.

You won't find a decent TFX in that watt range you need a new case.
