So I offer pc, Laptop and tablet repairs for a living and recently more and more of my customers have asked for gaming pc's so I built one sold it all was good.

I've now built this (see specs below) and I've had a couple of comments claiming it's too expensive. All parts are new and have warranty etc just wanted some advice really I hope that's ok!!

Specs

Case - NZXT S340 Black and Blue
CPU - Amd Fx6300 - CLOCKED AT 4GHZ
RAM- 8gb Corsair Vengeance pro @ 1833mhz
Motherboard - Asus M5A97-R2.0
Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX460 2GB DDR5
Storage:
Western Digital Blue 7200RPM 1tb - Storage
Kingston Hyperx 120gb SSD - OS
PSU - COOLER MASTER G550M hybrid modular.
4 Nzxt case fans
TP link PCI EXPRESS WIRELESS ADAPTER
Nzxt 2m Blue leds
Custom braided cables to match

It's a very clean build and windows is also included. I want to build a good name for myself on the gaming pc side and build my way up to the high end rigs so any constructive advice would be appreciated!!

Solution
Its a tough business. People in the know will know how much it costs and that you are over charging to make a profit. People who aren't won't care about custom cables for example.

You have also skimped on psu and whilst its a decent 720p/ 1080p low / esports rig, the fx6300 will not be a selling point.

I have no idea what that could sell for though!

Check out most popular pcpartpicker rigs and base your builds on those. Don't do lighting and custom cables, use good psus and then you have some stronger selling points!

Good luck

Thanks for the reply! I know it's a tough business but I will get there! As for the psu it wasn't my intention to skimp out. The Cooler master cpu has some great reviews and being semi modular is always nice.

As for the idea of checking out completed builds on pc part picker. That's a great idea I always find myself on there. So I will definitely take that on board.

Thanks
