ok i have windows 7 pro 64 bit and im upgrading from my 250 gig ssd to a new 2TB HDD and im wondering is there a way to copy/clone the os from the old SSD to the new HDD i have a usb sata ide hard drive plug thingy

reason for the upgrade is the SSD is to small for my needs so how do i move the os from the old drive to the new drive keep in mind im not moving the os to a new desktop just to a new drive in the same desktop

for thoes who may ask i have a second HDD that has all my game installs the SSD only has my os and the basics i.e. video card drivers and some basic programs all my games are installed on a second drive

A 250GB SSD should be fine for yourr OS and applications.
What other stuff do you have on there that is taking up so much space?
You can almost certainly configure things to where the 250GB is not 'too small'.

Is this a laptop or a desktop?

For generalized cloning steps, here:
---------------------
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new [strike]SSD[/strike] HDD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new [strike]SSD[/strike] HDD
Swap the SATA cables around...

Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the original boot partitions, here:
