Hi. I am confused about the support of the cooler on a motherboard. What is the 4pin connector(cpu fan)? How to know that my motherboard supports the cooler which is cooler master hyper tx3 evo? Do my motherboard must have 4 pin slot of the cooler fan connector? Can i just connect the 4pin connector of the hyper tx3 cooler fan to the slot at my motherboard that i just connected for my stock cooler?

Solution
Almost all motherboards (except some proprietary ones) support the same four-pin CPU fan connector.

However, the physical mounting points may be different - the cooler needs to support the motherboard's CPU socket. Most coolers support most sockets, but you might have trouble with cheap coolers and high-end boards (e.g. LGA2011), or really old boards (LGA775 or earlier).

Solution
You can check the cooler web sites... most of the better cooler manufacturers do compatibility lists. Avoid putting $25 coolers on $500 boards as support and attention to providing brackets will be minimal.

The fan plugs into the CPU-1 connector (or CPOU if you have only 1) on your MoBo. See MoBo manual for location. Most compatibility issues come from MoBo heat sinks and RAM.

Typical Issues:

ASRock B150M Pro4V - The cooler is extending over the first PCI-E x16 slot, so please use the other available PCI-E slot(s) for your video card(s).

Asus B150M-A D3 - Possible compatibility issues with video cards that have large protruding components at the back. Please see FAQ

Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact = Heatsink may slightly touch the "SupremeFX Impact III" and "Impact Power III" add-on boards, but due to the insulation of the boards, there is no problem.

Does my motherboard, Asus M2N68-am with AMD Phenom ii X4 955 Black Edition supports the cooler?(Cooler Master TX3 EVO and Cooler Master Hyper 103)
I can't find somewhere else even on internet. curious...

If the manufacturer doesn't publish the data Noctua does / CM doesn't) ... then no one will be in a position to answer that question unless they have tried it themselves on that MoBo.

I had no luck searching on " Asus M2N68-am Phenom ii X4 955 Black Cooler Master TX3 EVO" or " Asus M2N68-am Cooler Master TX3 EVO"
