Just received a hp m93404 hp pavilion elite still in the box from a coworker who didn't want it. I was thinking it would be fun to pump it up and see what I can make it do from parts on ebay. Currently it has a core 2 quad q6700 cpu which is a lga 775 socket in it and a benicia gl8e motherboard from what I can gather on the google. The trouble I am having is finding the best upgrade for it as I have heard that 775 socket had a long standing history and not all 775 socket cpus will fit. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
