Hey all, just a quick question. I'm looking at upgrading my RAM pretty soon since I havent done so in ages. I'm currently running 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3, 1600 MHz (yes I know AMD boards should use 1866), 9-9-9-24. I want to upgrade to 2x8gb DDR4 at 3000MHz. I'm pretty sure my board should be compatible with that, but I'm asking here just in case. What do you guys think? Should I go ahead with the upgrade to DDR4 or just stick with DDR3 since I already know it will work. Thanks.

Memory supported by your motherboard:

4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture

DDR4 isn't supported, so no that will not work (it won't even physically fit in the slots). You'll need to stick with DDR3.

Here is a very good pair that is fully compatible with the Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 (1866 MHz, CAS latency of 9):

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $79.99
