As the title says, can't deal with it. It'll still pick up the wireless signal, but plugging the ethernet cable in won't register as it being plugged in.
Windows 7 64x, motherboard is Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0

Solution
Go ahead and download the LAN drivers to a flash drive from another computer and install them as John said above.

You can find the Realtek drivers from Asus' driver site here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_990FX_R20/HelpDesk_Download/

Have you ensured the network adapter is enabled in the Networking and Sharing Center under "Change Adapter Settings?"

It should be the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller for your board.

I do not have one that says such. I have; Evolve Gaming Connection, Hamachi, Wireless Network connection (ASUS PCE-AC68), and Wireless network connection 2 (Microsdoft virutal wifi miniport)

I also do not posses the driver disk that originally came with my motherboard.

Turns out, installing the drivers for the port again fixed everything. Thank you all for your help. I really don't know why that wasn't like... installed in the first place, but at least it's done now!
