hello community, just built my new pc and it ran flawlessly for 2 days.
components are below:
http://pcpartpicker.com/b/ymVYcf
CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 33.8
Motherboard: Asus H170I-PRO Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston Savage 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5"
Storage: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 2.5" 5400RPM
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB
Case: Fractal Design Node 202
Power Supply: Corsair SF 450W 80+ Gold
Case Fan: Noctua NF-P12 PWM 120mm
Monitor: Dell P2014H 19.5" 60Hz Monitor
on Monday when i was doing some word stuff it rebooted suddenly without any warning,
(ps. got a blue screen one day before, thought it was not severe did not even noticed what it said)
after this first reboot i ran some stress test to see whether the system is stable, the temperature was pushed to GPU 80c, cpu 55c, could not go any higher. Then when i was playing LoL, it rebooted again. And again in 5 seconds.
The Problem got even worse, it started to reboot randomly and continuously. sometimes it could go into bios and gave me seconds to minutes to check things, sometimes even rebooted before the bios loading screen. If the system is rebooted too often, it will not start anymore and with one led on motherboard blinking.
I have already eliminated the problem to motherboard, cpu or psu.
the system restarted even without ram.
i returned the motherboard to amazon, the new motherboard Asus B150i pro gaming was received yesterday, tried in the minimum system, only got the so called standby power led blinking, problem persisted.
I did paper clip test to my psu, the psu fan did not move and made continuous clicking sound, looked like psu dead. i tried insert one end of paper clip into another ground pin, the fan started to move. i then plugged psu onto the motherboard, blinking led gone but backed to reboot loop again.
Okay, is it quite clear the reason to be psu now?
the new psu Corsair sf600 comes tomorrow, let's see.
Is there any other recommendations?
Thank you all to read and apologize for my bad grammar.
