When im in a game at fullscreen and alt tab to desktop what causes crashes?

What are your system specs?
I get something similar to this when I alt tab out of GTA 5, I have 8GB of RAM, I don't crash but the computer is not as responsive because GTA 5 is sucking up all of the RAM resources.
