Hey guys,

This is currently my build:

MOBO: ASRock 970 Extreme3
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4ghz
GPU: GTX 650ti
RAM: 8gb
PSU: 650w power supply

I have a few questions;

1) If I upgraded to a GTX 950 without changing anything else, would I notice a performance increase in games? (this is the one I am hoping to buy; http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/asus-strix-geforce-gtx-950-graphics-card-10139449-pdt.html?istCompanyId=bec25c7e-cbcd-460d-81d5-a25372d2e3d7&istItemId=mqixappta&istBid=tztx&gclid=CPeK0a2Xv9ACFaIK0wodD4cK7Q)

2) Will my motherboard be able to 'cope' with a GTX 950?

3) If I upgraded to a GTX 950 for now and then bought a new CPU to pair up with it after Christmas, which CPU would you guys recommend within a £200 budget (can stretch to £300)

4) Is the GTX 950 capable of running most newer games (Newer Total War games/GTA V/Battlefield etc)

5) Any other graphics card recommendations?

I've been searching for these answers for so damn long, and have called stores etc to try and tailor it to what I need, so I decided to consult you guys - I have searched and searched these forums but I kinda need a tailored response to make good use of my cash.

For the CPU upgrade, I would go for this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Cyjh6h or, as this platform uses DDR4 Ram, you could get this instead to save a bit of money and get this, which you could reuse your Ram on: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/YLYL4D
The GTX 950 will work in your computer, and having used a 650 ti recently myself I can tell you it will be a big upgrade. However, instead of stretching your budget on the CPU, I would do so for the GPU.
If you put 200 pounds for each, you could get a far better GPU that will show huge benefit in games. You could get a GTX 1060: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/7bL7YJ/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-windforce-oc-video-card-gv-n1060wf2oc-3gd
Which is much better than a GTX 950.
