would an msi 1060 work with an i5 4590 and an gigabyte z97p-d3 motherboard?

I am looking to add this ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1060-GAMING/dp/B01IOPQ1VO?SubscriptionId=AKIAJ7T5BOVUVRD2EFYQ&tag=camelwishlistsync-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01IOPQ1VO ) to my current set up, i also have 8gb of ram.

Would all of this work together or sould i get a different graphics card and if so what one, thanks!!

Yes that should be fine. You will notice upgraded performance. Make sure to plug your monitor in your GPU. I made that mistake years ago.

What settings do you plan to play at?

Will be perfectly fine as long as you have enough power and the right power connections , also make sure the card fits the case.
