i5-6600k
Asus Z170-A, 1902 BIOS
RAM 16 GB CMK16GX4M2B3200C16
Gigabyte Windforce 1060 6GB
EVGA 750W 80GQ+
Heatsink is coolermaster evo 212

So far, it's my first rig. I've checked every step on troubleshooting:

- NO bent pins.
- Everything is powered up as it should be.
- Monitor is working.
- HDMI cable is working.
- Both sticks work, tested by booting one stick at a time and BIOS would appear.

I can get to the bios with only one stick in, GPU removed.
If I put the second stick, everything shuts down but the CPU heatsink.
If I put the GPU with one stick, won't get to BIOS.
If I put everything, reboot loop.

I'm not sure about BIOS config, but I can tell you that what ever I tried wasn't the right answer. It would at some point detect my SSD, but that's it. I don't want to pay someone at this point to fix this up.

I know there was something about CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 and Z170 boards, not sure if it's still the case.

I don't have an optical drive on the case, but I have the mobo cd. So if a BIOS update is needed, I'd like to know how to do it.

Thanks all.

Edit: on the corsair website, this model of ram doesn't come up when i look at my mobo
EDIT 2: 2 sticks with no gpu = CPU red light, 1 stick and GPU = reboot
EDIT 3: I flashed the bios to most recent, still reboot loop

Try the BIOS update, will be directions in your manual. Also what slots are you putting the DRAM in, may be a channel problem, another possible is the 212 EVO may be too tight in a corner or side throwing the CPU out of level which can affect the MC (memory controller) ;)

I did what the user manual said: A2 - B2. However i will get a bios from any stick in any A slot

How can i test if its the heatsink being too tight

Edit: forgot to say that i get cpu red light with 2 ram sticks, what ever the combination is and then The system puts itself on idle. Heatsink fan running, thats all
