Hello, please help me solve my issue. My PC has been without a GPU for awhile now. I finally got the used one from my friend. ATI Radeon Sapphire HD 5670 GDDR5 1GB. Installing graphics card into the PCI x16 slot would make my monitor screen black. After I've disabled only driver that i had in Device Manager - NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405, I could see my desktop with GPU inserted but with poor resolution. My GPU was only connected to the PCI x16 slot. I went to Device Manager and i saw only the mentioned driver, disabled. There was no driver for my graphics card. I ran BIOS afterwards, hoping it will solve the problem, but it puzzled me even more. The option has already been checked. It said use integrated GPU if nothing is in the PEG slot. But my GPU was! I plugged then my VGA monitor cable with VGA + DVI adapter into my GPU and ran the PC. Black screen. My PC power wattage is 400w and graphics card requires that much anyway. Even if it is the problem with power, GPU should be detected. And the graphics card is not dead. Since my friend used it a few days ago and it worked perfectly for him. Any help is appreciated!

Solution
You have to install a driver yourself. Windows was using a generic driver when you had it on with a poor resolution. Enable PEG in BIOS, boot then install AMD driver.

If you get any issues, try clearing CMOS first then booting with GPU attached.
