How long until an i7 6700k begins to bottleneck Nvidia GPU's?

Hi all, I'm looking into upgrading to a new gaming system here in the near future and I was looking for your opinion on something, since Google isn't getting the job done. My build will pair an i7 6700k with a GTX 1080 (or possibly 1080ti, if it comes out quick enough). While I'm confident that this processor will have no problem handling a single 1080 graphics card I'm worried about how long it's going to be able to handle new cards down the road. Usually I'll upgrade my graphics card every 2-3 years and it would be nice for the money if I could keep this system for 7-10 years.

Is it realistic to expect that one of Nvidia's best cards (1070 or 1080 equivalent) in 7 years will not bottleneck this CPU? Or do I need to look at investing in a slightly better CPU?

Solution
There really is no slightly better CPU unless you go with a 2011-v3 which I would not advise.

I would imagine the 6700k can saturate a card more than twice as fast as a GTX 1080 as there is currently no bottleneck having two GTX 1080s in SLI.
